Anyone that has been to a spinning class will be all to familiar with the 3 phases of spinning class. Phase 1: you’ll feel pleased as punch that you actually made it to your spin class but can’t help scanning the room for the emergency exits, you’re wondering in advance how obvious it would be if you just made a run for it, right now. Phase 2: you’re less than 5 minutes in and you’re already hating yourself for allowing yourself to think you were some kind of fitness messiah capable of completing a spin class. Any mention of boxing instantly casts my mind back to that scene in Rocky where Slyvester Stallone guzzles a not particularly appetising looking glass full of raw eggs before setting out for his morning run at 5:30 in the morning.
