The Screen Actors Guild Awards is one of the season’s premier events and honours outstanding performances by outstanding individuals in both film and television but marked out by the prestigious ensemble trophies.

The SAG awards are exclusively conferred by actors’ peers and members of the SAG AFTRA and the first televised awards show was created by a union; the presentations of this years’ awards marks the 19th telecast of the event.

Every year the Sag awards red carpet is a showcase of the crème de la crème in screen-craft. Unlike other ceremonies the Sag puts its focus purely on actors producing some of the most moving speeches throughout the season.

This year the Life Achievement Award went to the amazing Carol Burnett; comedic trailblazer, actor, singer, dancer, producer and author for her outstanding career and humanitarian accomplishment.
