IN THE WAKE OF DISNEY’S NEW CINDERELLA MOVIES, SOME OF THE GREATEST SHOE DESIGNERS IN THE WORLD HAVE TAKEN IT UPON THEMSELVES TO DESIGN THEIR OWN UNIQUE TAKE ON ONE OF THE WOLRD’S MOST ICONIC SHOES IN HISTORY. CINDERELLA CRYSTAL, ALL IN WHICH ARE AS MAGICAL AS THE FILM.
The English master of heels himself has reimagined the glass slipper into a decadent statement of un-ignorable crystal and style. Driven by his desire to reflect the strength and fragility of Cinderella’s character, Nicholas Kirkwood has once again proved that when it comes to powerful footwear, these is only one name you need to know.
“Cinderella has both delicate and strong qualities as a character. The moment of transformation emphasises both and gave me the design inspiration to create a piece that spoke to the film’s magic.” – Nicholas Kirkwood
To many people Cinderella represents timeless elegance, something that, for many people are the key facets of feminine beauty. Here Alexandre Birmans classic pump has been adorned with delicate flowing crystal elements and a satin finish to portray this ideology.

Elegance and power, Stuart Weitzman’s combination of such a delicate body and the powerful statement of an ankle boot, means that this take on the Cinderella slipper is as unique as the brand that created it. Its transparent crystal gradient is almost fairy-tale material.

Our Favourite. This encrusted slipper is what we imagine a modern day Cinderella would wear. It’s sense of magic is achieved not only through the elegant beauty of the pebbled crystals, but the explosion of crystalline shards from the toe. Jimmy Choo, has created a modern day Cinderella slipper, that would turn every head at a ball and that we’re sure, a prince would run a mile for.
“I think every girl desires a Cinderella moment in their lives. This story ignites a love affair and fascination with shoes that never dies. The power they have to transform is instilled from a young age and the fantasy remains alive forever. I wanted to create a shoe that felt magical, with alluring sparkle and a feminine, timeless silhouette evoking those childhood emotions.” – Sandra Choi, Creative Director Jimmy Choo
Using his iconic pointed toe silhouette design, Paul Andrew used an array of sizeable aqua Swarovski crystals to adorn the front of the shoe. The PVC side sections give the impression of glass and when seen in conjunction to the toe and ankle, which is also encrusted with crystals, the slipper gives a fragile and delicate impression while still having enough crystal to be magic.
“Cinderella’s glass slipper represents every woman’s dream shoe.” – Paul Andrew
